EQUIPMENT DONORS

PANAVISION
Panavision donated a full HD camera package for nearly two months of shooting, including the CineAlta f900 (pictured), monitors, lenses, and mounts. This camera was used on George Lucas' Episode II, and shows an image 6 times that of standard video. The system was specifically donated by Bob Harvey, the Vice President of Panavision USA.

KODAK DIGITAL and KODAK MOTION PICTURE
Kodak Motion Picture, which normally donates film to USC projects, bought a DCS Pro 645 (pictured) from Kodak Digital division and donated it for use on this project. This camera is the highest-resolution SLR camera available, at 16-megapixels or 8 times HD. This system was donated by Eric Rodli, the President of Kodak Motion Picture and Loretty Bayle of Kodak's student services.

APPLE COMPUTER
Apple has been a major contributor to USC, and they donated a great deal toward Seven Swans. They donated, along with Pinnacle Systems, two HD editing systems that rely on Final Cut Pro software and an XServe RAID which is capable of serving 2 terabytes of High Definition video at real-time speeds.

PINNACLE SYSTEMS
Pinnacle Systems generously donated two CineWave HD editing systems to USC for use on our project. They are capable of bringing uncompressed, full-resolution HD into Final Cut Pro and editing it either at full resolution or at a reduced size for ease of storage. They were donated by Lauren Herr, formerly the Vice President of Pinnacle Systems.

SONY CORPORATION
Sony Corporation, via their Sony Pictures arm, donated over a million dollars worth of High Definition equipment to USC and our production. It included HD decks, two HD cameras with lenses, and three HD monitors. Seven Swans relied entirely on a 24" Sony HD monitor (similar to the one pictured) for post-production.

DAVID COVARRUBIAS & CHRIS HANSEN
These two gentlemen donated an enormous amount of time to building our animatronic swan. Both of them have worked with Stan Winston studios, the renowned animatronics studio, and their credits include the Budweiser lizards and dinosaurs on Jurassic Park II. This is their first bird, and, we suspect, it will be the last one they donate their time on. Apparently this would have cost us over $60,000 on the real market and we are eternally grateful for their patience, time, and talent. Chris Hansen is on the right.

ADOBE SYSTEMS
Adobe generously gave Seven Swans an enormous donation of software, including our primary compositing software, After Effects, and the entire Creative Suite. This was made possible only through the sponsorship and generosity of Lee Richardson at Adobe.
OTHER SPONSORS
There are many other companies that donated or gave us enormous discounts which enabled us to complete this film. We can only thank all of them for their incredible generosity and commitment to supporting the craft of filmmaking.
