SCFX is USC's special and visual effects organization. Through workshops, speakers, and tours, SCFX aims to teach members about creating effects and the effects industry. Past events include visits to Industrial Light and Magic, Pixar, Tippet Studios, Captive Audience Productions, talks by Stan Winston and Richard Edlund, and panels on careers in the industry. In addition, SCFX connects USC filmmakers with members eager to gain real-life experience in creating effects for films.
